BCL Americas is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 4 rounds left. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 4 in BCL Americas means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Sao Paulo where host Brazilian Vivo/Franca (3-1) crushed league's leader Argentinian Instituto (3-1) 110-80 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Instituto. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Instituto 39-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. Sesi/Franca shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 51.4 percentage. Center Cristiano Felicio (210-1992, college: Oregon) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Italian-Argentinian point guard Gaston Whelan (187-1994) produced 17 points and 7 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vivo/Franca have a solid three-game winning streak. Sesi/Franca keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Minas and Instituto. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Kayo Manfio contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Joaquin Lopez (205-2005) replied with 12 points for Obras. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flamengo maintains second position with 2-2 record having just six point less than leader Sesi/Franca, which they share with Boca Juniors. Obras at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Univ.Concepcion. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nacional have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Uruguayan champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Loser Obras still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Univ.Concepcion. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last two games of round 4 Nacional crushed Flamengo in Montevideo 95-76. Boca Juniors were beaten by Aguada at home 84-88.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rio de Janeiro. Second ranked Brazilian Flamengo faced one of their biggest challengers Argentinian Obras. Host Flamengo (2-2) smashed guests from Buenos Aires (0-4) 102-66. Flamengo shot 60.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. Flamengo players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists.
